Koishibaev Makalim(1926-1986) - composer, honoured Art Worker of Kaz.SSR. Graduated from the Alma-Ata Conservatory in the composition class under Assistant Professor V.V.Velikanov. Koishibaev began his creative work as performer at the age of 13; he performed with the Kazakh Folk Orchestra of the State Radio Committee. Koishibaev composed the poems for the symphonic orchestra and orchestra of Kazakh                    folk instruments: «Manshuk», «Soviet Kazakhstan», «Molodezh (Youth)», «Kurmangazy», «Vospominanya (Memory)». He is the author of many variety, chamber, and instrumental music compositions, ballads, the kiuis «Molodezh (Youth)», «Akku» and «Kyzylkum». In the compositions of Koishibaev, ubiquitous melody combines with an intensive richness of musical texture. He achieved convincing and laconic orchestra sonority, based upon the folk song and instrumental forms.
