Tulegenova Bibigul - singer (lyrico-coloratura soprano). People’s Artist of Kazakhstan and the USSR, Kazakhstan State Prize, professor. Born in 1929 in Semipalatinsk. Graduated from Kurmangazy Almaty State Conservatory. A special place is given to Kazakh folk songs, vocal classic compositions, and also songs, romances of modern composers in this singer’s repertoire. B.Tulegenova made                 valuable contribution to the development of the national opera. She is soloist of Abai Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Jambul Kazakh State Philharmonic Society. Her most renowned roles are: Zhibek (Ye.Brusilovsky,   «Kyz Zhibek»),    Gulbarshin (E.Rakhmadiev,           «Alpamys»),           Enlik (G.Zhubanova, «Enlik-Kebek») and others. B.Tulegenova created the images in the films «Dotch stepei (Daughter of the Steppe)», «Nash milyi doctor (Our wonderful Doctor)», «Eto bylo v Shugle (It Happened in Shugla)», «Angel v tubeteike (Angel in a Skullcap)».
