Kazakh State Choir B.Baikadamov State Choir - honoured collective of Kazakhstan, founded in 1939. Its founder and first leader was the People’s Artist of Kaz.SSR B.V.Lebedev (1939-1941). The collective was recreated in 1954. The honoured artist of Kaz.SSR G.E.Vinogradova was at the head of the Choir till 1958. During many years, People’s Artist of the USSR A.V.Molodov led it. Now the artistic director and leader is Demeuov. The choir’s repertoire includes Kazakh folk songs, kiuis, musical compositions of Kazakh, Russian, modern composers, as well as Russian and foreign classics. The composers B.Baikadamov, A.Zhubanov, G.Zhubanova, B.Zhumaniyiazov, K.Kuzhamiarov, M.Tulebaev, E.Rakhmadiev, L.Khamidi and others authored works for the Choir.
