Dabyl. The dabyl is percussion instrument made by covering a handled fillet with leather from two sides. Warriors usually used dabyl (when attacking). It was the instrument with a strong loud sound useful for giving march signals. In ancient times percussion instruments (dabyl, dabylpaz and shandabyl) had a wide usage in the life of Kazakhs. Loud sounds of percussion instruments called the inhabitants of auls for hunting, for fulfilment of religious ceremonies, informed about forth-coming migrations.
